Hawkshead was the home town of Beatrix Potter,
her husband’s
legal offices can still be visited in the village and it has become
synonymous with the timeless appeal of her children’s stories.
Hawkshead is set amongst the gorgeous fell of the south Lake District
to which visitors flock throughout the year, despite the famous weather!
They come here for different reasons, but the quality and variety
of local food and produce is high on the list of most who visit.
The Honeypot is situated in the centre of this
beautiful town. It has been trading for over 100 years, sharing its
birthday with Peter
Rabbit and his friends! Fiona Wilson and her family are proud to have
run the business for the last 12 years; in this time Fiona has sourced
the finest local speciality foods and gifts, many of which now bear
the Honeypot’s own label.
Many of the products that we stock are unique to this area, most were
made in the Lake District.
